Three-in-One: Metal Medley
with Kieu Pham Gray
Immerse yourself in this opportunity to experience a three-day jewelry making retreat, and to learn from expert Instructor Kieu Pham Gray in the unique and creative town of Asheville, North Carolina.
You will spend quality time in the studio classroom working your way through three sequential projects designed to help you master skills from a variety of perspectives. You’ll share delicious lunches daily with Kieu and fellow classmates, then relax and unwind at the Welcome Social and Instructor Showcase. The retreat will wrap up with a Group Photo Session after class to celebrate your accomplishments and provide lasting memories of our time together in Asheville.
In this sequential workshop program over the course of three days, you will learn a wide range of metal working techniques with multiple design perspectives from expert instructor Kieu Pham Gray.
Students start day one learning and practicing drilling, shaping, forming, soldering and finishing with a Moon Rocks Bracelet project. On day two, it’s stone setting, reticulation, shaping and forming metal, and advanced techniques that keep your pieces spinning in Cosmic Movement. Then, the retreat winds up with Intrepid Ring, a project in which Kieu will help you solder pins, shape and form sterling silver, and refine your ring-making skills.
We will wind down the weekend with a few hours of open studio to give you additional time to finish your projects or practice techniques you have learned over the weekend.
You will learn the following techniques from Kieu in this three-day class:
